Owner reviews: Vivitar Series 1 70-210 mm f/ 2.8-4 VMC (Cosina)

Graham 04.03.2016 05:36:15
Period of use: 3 years

Strengths:

Fast aperture and classic zoom length.  Decent macro capability.

Weaknesses:

Zoom creep.

Comments:

Not quite as sharp or distortion-free as the Tamron SP 70-210 f3.5 and of course, not in the same league as the Zeiss 70-210 VS Macro, this lens is a very fair performer, especially in low light.  Distortion is handled well though is apparent at both ends of the zoom range but produces good quality images with good contrast.
