The Tokyo Kogaku Topcor-S f2 5cm in M39 must be one of the more common Topcon LTM lenses, still it is a bit rare and there isn't all that much info about it on the net.
From what I read it was sold together with Leotax RF cameras from 1954 through 1961. Other infos taken from the net:
    Weight: 255 grams
    Filter Thread: 40.5mm
Extension from Camera Body at Infinity Focus: 1.62″ (41mm)
    Elements: Seven
    Minimum Aperture: F16, click stops

I add:
    10 aperture blades
    minimum focus distance: 1m

Legendary lens, supposed to be the best normal lens for Leica M39 of that era.

Never seen in Europe, I don't even know if they were imported here, but apparently not hard to find in Japan.

oh, I didn't know that! the few photos I have taken with it I did like Smile

Ian if you want one, be fast Smile Today, when looking for more sources on this lens before posting, I saw that right now there is a copy for sale by a Japanese seller on ebay International. It still is sitting at the starting price of 238 usd., 1 day 6 hours to go, that is less than half of what some people seemed to have payed already years ago. It isn't easy to find in Japan neither, if found chances are that it will be offered for more than that.

btw. here my flickr album with ( so far very few photos ) I have taken with it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/sets/72157644078970601/

I wish I had 238 bucks to spend! Oh well, I have the Topcor 1.8/58 and I really love that lens.

The Topcor-S really is a remarkable little lens, I'll never sell mine.
