Bathroom carpets exert extra gravity

People who lose weight have long discovered that their weight readings will change, and this change depends on where they put the bathroom electronic scale. According to reports, simply moving the electronic scale from the carpet to the flat ground can reduce a few kilograms of weight. Until recently, scientists have not figured out why bathroom carpets exert this extra gravitational force, or in other words, which reading should you trust?

By testing the mechanical devices of the traditional mechanical bathroom electronic scale, they found that the weight measurement system of the electronic scale was built on a series of fulcrums connected to the bottom plate. Next, a series of levers convert this degree of curvature into a reading. On the soft carpet, the bottom plate of the electronic scale cannot be bent normally, and the reading will be wrong.

Researchers have found that errors can sometimes reach as much as 10%. Therefore, it seems that many people who think they have weight problems are actually carpet problems.
