Additional information:
The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-200 mm f/ 2.8 D IF ED is a telephoto zoom with constant lens speed for Nikon F cameras.
The lens supplements the Nikkor 80-200mm f/ 2.8 D EDlineup, but utilizes a new optical scheme(18/14 vs. 16/11). It is equipped with an ultrasonic motor, providing fast and quiet autofocusing. In 2003 the AF-S Nikkor 80-200 mm f/ 2.8 D IF ED lens was discontinued and replaced with the AF-S Nikkor 70-200 mm f/ 2.8 G IF ED VR.
Some photographers consider this lens to be the best of Nikkor fast telephoto zoom lenses.
