Additional information:

The Nikon AF Nikkor 35-80 mm f/ 4-5.6 D (II)  is a kit autofocus zoom lens for 35 mm Nikon F SLR cameras.

The Nikon AF Nikkor 35-80 mm f/ 4-5.6 D (II) lens supplemented the lineup of budget Nikon autofocus lenses. The distinctive feature of this series is a plastic bayonet mount.

As opposed to the first variant, this lens has a broader plastic focus ring and a different optical scheme (8/7 vs. 6/6). The Nikon AF Nikkor 35-80mm f/4-5.6 D (II) has been deprived of a metal bayonet mount and aperture ring.
