The OlympusZUIKODIGITALED 7-14 mmf/ 4 is a superwide-angle zoom lens for digital cameras with Four Thirds (4/3) sensors.
Equivalent focal length: 14-28 mm. It has the widest angle in the line of Olympus lenses.
It is a professional lens according to TOP PRO classification ofOlympus. The lenses of this series have a constant aperture throughout the whole range of zooming; they are always dust and moisture resistant; its optical scheme includes ED elements. These lenses are remarkable for a platinum ring on the lens barrel.
Due to a rounded form of the front element, filters cannot be used on this lens.

It is equipped with a circular 7-bladeaperture. It features circles of confusion (bokeh) of almost rounded form.
The lens produces sharp image from f/4 onward.
Its optical scheme consists of 18 elements in 12 groups, including 2 aspherical elements (1 ED glass), 2 elements of Super ED glass and 1 element of ED glass. All major aberrations, including chromatic and distortion, are well corrected and almost invisible.
Focusing is internal. The front lens does not rotate. Manual adjustment of sharpness is possible at any time by turning the focusing ring.
Color rendering is natural and saturated. Contrast of images is high.
Sharpness is good across the whole frame. There are minimal drops in resolution on the edges.
It handles well both side and back light.
The Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 7-14 mm f/4.0 is ideal for shooting landscapes, architecture and interiors. It is fitlimitedly (lens speed, focusing speed) for genre and candid photography.
Depth of field:
A soft carrying case and a petal hood are included with the lens.
