The Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-35 mm f/ 2 SWD  is  an all-purpose zoom lens for digital cameras with Four  Thirds (4/3) sensors.

Equivalentfocal length is 28-70 mm. The most convenient and frequently used focal length.

It belongs to the category of  TOP PRO professional lenses according to  Olympus. The lenses of this series have a constant aperture throughout  the whole range of  zooming; they are always dust  and moisture resistant; its optical scheme includes ED elements.  These lenses are remarkable for a platinum ring on the lens barrel.

The lens features a unique lens speed of 2.0. Constant aperture of f/2.0 throughout the entire range of zooming. Due to this fact, the lens can be used in poor light conditions without a flash.

It is equipped  with a circular9-blade aperture. It features rounded circles of confusion of bokeh.

The Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-35mm f/2.0 SWD produces sharp picture across the frame from f/2.0 onward. There are minimal drops in resolution on the edges.

Ultra sonic focusing motor drive SWD ensures very fast and virtually silentfocusing.

The optical scheme includes18 elements in 17 groups, including 1 ED element and 1 aspherical ED element. All major aberrations, including chromatic and distortion, are well corrected and almost invisible.

Focusing is internal with a floating mechanism. The front lens does not rotate. Manual adjustment of sharpness is possible at any time by turning the focusing ring.

Color  rendering  is natural and saturated.  Contrast of images is high.

It handles well both side and back light.

The Olympus ZUIKO DIGITALED 14-35mm F2.0 SWD is ideal for all major genres and types of photography. Due to its good autofocus and lens speed, it is ideal for genre and candid photography.

A soft case and a petal hood with nap on reverse side included.

The only essential drawback of this lens is its price.
