Period of use: 72 months

Strengths:

An all-round A/A+ lens. Well built, small, fast, sharp, flare-resistant; this was built to be a wide press lens, and that's precisely how it behaves. Excellent on APS-C, APS-C + focal reducer, and FF. Fairly even across the frame too.

Weaknesses:

Colors are very natural, which is to say unexciting. Lots of 35mm lenses are intended for landscapes, but this one isn't. Bokeh are also not as nice as one would hope, although things just a little out of focus look good.

Comments:

My favorite 35mm lens to grab when I don't know exactly what I'll need... it does everything well.

Don't know why others are down on it.
