The Nikon AF Nikkor 80 mm f/ 2.8 is a telephoto prime lens for Nikon F cameras.
This is the first Nikon autofocus lens. It is equipped with a built-in autofocus drive motor Operations in AF mode are available only on the Nikon F3AF camera. On other Nikon cameras only manual mode operations are possible.
The AF Nikkor 80 mm f/ 2.8 lens did not get wide spread occurrence because of a high price and bulky design. For many years Nikon refused to install an AF drive motor into the lens, instead they installed it into cameras.
