Additional information:
The Lumix G 20 mm f/ 1.7 ASPH (H-H020 model) is an extremely simple, compact and fast, standard "pancake" lens for Micro4/3 digital mirrorless cameras. In 2013 the second modification of the lens was released.
A 40 mm equivalent may first seem unusual, but in fact this lens is "ideally normal" with its focal length equal to the sensor diagonal. This means it produces neutral images free of perspective distortion, characteristic of wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
The lens is versatile, suitable for almost any kind of photography - landscape, architecture, group of people, etc. Its strong point is shooting in small darkened rooms, caves, etc.
Cons:
-
Very small dimensions and low weight - perfect for hiking and traveling
-
The aperture of f/1.7 makes it possible to shoot in low light conditions, almost in the darkness, and considerably expands capabilities for shooting under normal lighting conditions.
-
It delivers an impressive image quality at all apertures.
-
Despite its plastic finish, good build quality and manual focus ring should be mentioned, as well.
Cons:
-
Mediocre bokeh, though it is not its intended use.
