Owner reviews: Schneider Kreuznach Xenon 50 mm f/ 0.95

purelightglow 25.11.2019 21:03:07
Period of use: 2 years

Strengths:

Not yet mounted so after a few close up/ macro images on canon ff and a sony nex I find this to be an excellent lens. It is good at 0.95 and images appear to be a high resolution

Weaknesses:

It's heavy with a no click aperture which makes it difficult. Mine needs a mount and focus helicoid as the focus turn on the threading is a slow process. Image circle with C mount needs a modification for cameras with larger sensors or film

Comments:

The colour rendition is beautiful and yet with some brand uniqueness. I think it's adjusted fo older sensors and film. Picture quality is high
