Outstanding IQ
Solid build
Aperture half-stops
Weaknesses:
Narrowish and not very grippy focusing and aperture rings. A bit annoying with normal use, a problem under wet conditions
Comments:
The Hexanon 57/1.4 beats Hexanons 40/1.8 and 50/1.7 hands down. The latter two (at least my copies) show from a pronounced to unacceptable sensor blooming and/or blue ghosting on Fuji X-E2. Couldn't find any of this or any other flaws with 50/1.4.
So far my favorite 50mm lens along with Yashinon ML 50/1.7 and Olympus OM 50/1.8
Superb resolution & Contrast
Weaknesses:
None
Comments:
BUY it immediately, Tested on Sony A7r, it was fabulous!
