The Tamron 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) is a stabilized 21х zoom lens for Sony E mirrorless cameras only.
The autofocus mechanism employs a stepper motor, which is ideal for contrast detection autofocus used in Sony NEX cameras. A stepper motor driver delicately controls angular rotation without an intermediate gearbox and provides silent autofocusing.
The Tamron VC image stabilization system employs three pairs of driving coils, which makes it possible to decrease driver system load and to down-size the whole unit. Stabilization elements are supported with steel balls, providing smooth moving with low friction. Therefore, the VC system provides a stable viewfinder image with an excellent tracking quality, eliminating blur in handheld situations.
