The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G is a full-frame fast prime portrait lens.
The lens has a damp-proof body. The new optical design consists of nine elements in nine groups. The lens features the maximum aperture of f/1.8 and weighs just 350 g. Besides, the lens does not utilize aspherical elements and expensive glass elements.
Silent Wave Motor not only provides silent focusing, but also makes it possible to use the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G on Nikon DX starter cameras (D5100 and D3100), which are not equipped with autofocus motor drive. The lens features two focusing modes - M/A (manual focusing during AF operations) and M (manual).
Besides, the system of internal focusing ( IF) prevents the front element from rotating, which enables the use of filters and attachments.
The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85 mm f/ 1.8 G delivery kit includes the HB-62 hood and the CL-1015 soft case. The lens bayonet mount is rubber sealed.
