The Tokina AT-X 16-28mm F2.8 PRO FX , 2010 new product, is a full format fast wide-angle zoom lens with a constant aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire range of focal lengths.
Due to a bulb-like front element and built-in hood, it is not possible to mount filters and use standard caps.
It features a new built-in Silent Drive-Module. Combined in one module, a motor and a gear reducer feature low noise characteristics. Autofocus functions faster and more accurately thanks to a new high resolution focus detector.
The lens is equipped with the so called One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, i. e. the choice between manual focusing and auto-focusing modes with one touch. In order to switch autofocus mode you should slightly shift the focus ring forward. To engage manual focusing the focus ring should be shifted back to the camera.
