The Nikon Nikkor 35-70 mm f/ 3.5 Ai is a kit zoom lens with constant lens speed for Nikon F cameras.
It differs from the Nikkor 35-70 mm f/ 3.5 Ai-S in a larger filter diameter and greater minimum focusing distance. Besides, its front element does not rotate on focusing. Judging by the reviews, it is optically inferior to the Nikkor 35-70 mm f/ 3.5 Ai-S lens.
