The Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX AF 11-16mm f/2.8is a fast wide-angle zoom lens with constant maximum aperture which can be used only on APS-C cameras with the Canon EF-S or the Nikon DХ bayonet mounts and cannot be used on cameras with full-frame sensors.
Based on an outstanding optical scheme of the AT-X 124 PRO DX (12-24mm f/4), the new AT-X 116 PRO DX has slightly more narrow zooming range to maintain an appropriate optical quality when wide open.
The lens is equipped with the so called One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, i. e. the choice between manual focusing and auto-focusing modes with one touch. In order to switch autofocus mode you should slightly shift the focus ring forward. To engage manual focusing the focus ring should be shifted back to the camera. The switch requires some effort and is followed with a click sound. While switching, it is possible to defocus.
