The Helios-44 58 mm f/ 2.0 (Russian: "Гелиос") is a fast standard lens with a fixed focal length for 35mm cameras with M39 thread mount.
With a special adapter can be attached to modern dSLR and mirrorless cameras.
This lens was based on Biotar 2/58 (Carl Zeiss Jena) lens.
Optical design of this lens was developed by GOI in 1951 year.
This lens had two diaphragm options: 7 or 13 blades. Lens barrel is not painted and made of high-quality aluminium alloy.
Lens labeled "Helios-44" had M39x1/45.2 thread mount and was used:
- as a kit lens for "Kristall" and "Zenit-3M" cameras
- as interchangable lens for cameras: "Zenit", "Zenit-S", "Zenit-3" and other cameras of a Zenit camera family.
