Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 60 mm f/ 2.8 C C/Y - fast macro lens with a special multi-coating and fixed focal length for 35mm Contax/Yashica SLR cameras.
High-quality macro lens. It's a full analog of a bigger "brother" Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 60/2.8 (without C char) but was made more compact and light-weight.
Accepting this lens lost it's maximal close-up scale 1:1 and has only 1:2.
Also we have to note that barrel of C-lens as opposed to non-C is now made of plastic instead if metal to make lens light-weight. But plastic which was used is high-quality plastic.
But new modification (C-lens) has MM-mount so all problems with installing to e.g. Canon 5D mark II are avoided.
This could be an issue if AE-versions of this lens had such problem (mirrow clearance). But they dont.
