Additional information:

The Carl Zeiss Planar 135 mm f/ 2 C/Y  is a fast telephoto prime lens for the 35 mm Contax / Yashica (C/Y) SLR cameras.

This is a rather fast lens with a solid form factor, made of metal and glass. It is not a self-evident merit for a telephoto lens. On the one hand this is a positive characteristic for durability,  but on the other hand with the weight of 790 gm. it has no tripod mount.

The Carl Zeiss Planar 135 / 2 focusing ring is broad with a rubber antisliding flap.

Like other fellow lenses it is a bit soft at f/2. However, it gets rather sharp from 3.5 onwards.

The  Carl Zeiss Planar 135 mm f/ 2 C/Y is recommended for portraiture and close-up shots. It has a characteristic Zeiss bokeh.
