Additional information:

The Carl Zeiss Mirotar 1000 mm f/ 5.6 C/Y is a high-quality mirror lens for the 35 mm C / Y (Contax/Yashica) SLR cameras.

Due to its construction with additional mirrors, it is practically devoid of chromatic aberrations.

The scheme of mirror lenses was borrowed from that of telescopes. The construction enables to increase focal length without increasing telescope dimensions.

The aperture values of the Carl Zeiss Mirotar 1000 mm f/ 5.6 lens can be changed by installing  special dark filters between the camera  the rear lens.
