Additional information:
The Carl Zeiss Tele-Apotessar 350 mm f/ 4 C645 is an autofocus apochromatic medium format tele lens for the Contax 645 system.
Some elements of the lens are made of fluorite glass, enabling to suppress chromatic aberrations.
There are special light absorbing materials used in the Carl Zeiss Tele-Apotessar 350/4 C645 lens casing which make it possible to avoid rereflections inside the lens and render color saturation to the picture unscathed.
The lens has a tripod mount, which is very convenient regarding its weight. The front element is non-rotating, which enables to use polarized and gradient filters.
The AF is in the lens, and not in the camera, which enables a close range focusing (1.9 m), e.g. filling the frame with a human face during a portrait shooting.
The Carl Zeiss Tele-Apotessar 350 mm f/ 4 C645 can be used with the Mutar 1.4x teleconverter, which turns it into impressive 490/5.6. Thus, the present lens takes advantage of the medium format in full.
