Additional information:
The Canon EF 35-135 mm f/ 3.5-4.5 is a standard zoom lens for 35 mm Canon
The lens has a pump design.
The body is made of metal and composite with a ribbed rubber-coated flap; the bayonet mount is metal. The lens outward diameter is 95 mm.
It does not absorb dust, and it does not go loose; there is no zoom lock and the tube may extend under its own weight. No image stabilizer.
The autofocus of the Canon EF 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 is very fast, though it is not equipped with USM, and rather tenacious. There is no FTM system, the A/M switch mechanically locks the focus ring and it does not rotate during autofocusing. But the front element rotates and noticeably extends, which makes the use of polarizers somewhat inconvenient.
The Canon EF 35-135 mm f/ 3.5-4.5 exhibits perfect optical results throughout the entire range of focal lengths. It has the Super Spectra lens coating. It produces slight vignetting when wide open, but a picture, microcontrast and low level of aberrations are up to modern L-lenses standard.
Minimum focusing distance: 1.5 m (tele), 0.95 m (macro)
Accessories: circular hood: EW-68B; hard case: LH1315; soft case: ES-C13
This is a rather rare lens. There were about 1,000 pieces manufactured. Links to online resources: Posted by: dr_Teller Date of publication: 18.04.2012
