Owner reviews: Spiratone 85 mm f/ 1.7

Leo Koikov 12.08.2016 22:00:02
Period of use: 1 year

Strengths:

Good color and very decent contrast

Nice focus throw, neither too short, nor too long

Got for cheap from a thrift store

Weaknesses:

Losses contrast in bright light (as expected) but does not flare (unexpected).

Hood addresses the above to some extent

On a heavy side (expected)

Nose-heavy-ish on Fuji X-E2

Comments:

Love it (especially for $40). Produces very pleasant results within known physical/optical limitations and some more.

The more I use on Sony A7ii, the more I like it
