Additional information:

A West German lens at least 50+ years old.  Made by Piesker, imported by Sterling Howard to the U.S. market who put their Astranar brand name on it. Typical of most Pieskers found in the U.S. Probably intended as a cine lens, but Piesker had an interchangeable mount system and this one has the M42.  Has a interesting rack & pinion focusing lever.
