The Minolta AF 28-75 mm f/ 2.8 D was designed by Tamron for Minolta. This is a fast kit lens with convenient focal lengths ranging from wide-angle to telephoto, which makes it suitable both for landscape and portrait photography.
Pros: a good picture at 75mm, very natural color rendering, sharp from f/4 onwards.
Cons: weak performance at 35 mm, yellow highlights, occasionally inaccurate focusing.
