The Asahi (Pentax) Takumar 105mm f/2.8 Preset is a moderate telephoto prime for 35 mm M42 screw mount SLR cameras.

This is Takumar's earlier version (1958-1961). The lens features an aperture preset mechanism (Preset) and a single-layer coating. In 1962 the Super-Takumar lenswas released employing a different 5/4 optical formula.
