The Tokina AT-X M100 PRO D AF 100 mm f/ 2.8 Macro  features a Full/Limit focus limiter, which enables faster focusing when used as a moderate telephoto lens, dividing focusing range from 30 to 37 cm or from 37 cm  to infinity.

Strengths:

I just bought this lens and I expected better than average results.  I was shocked to see how truly sharp this prime macro is.  The favorite thing I like about is that I can save a step of macro focusing by snapping the manual focus by pull/pull clutch on the lens, focus on my subject and expose the image quickly.

When photographing macro, the autofocus is not much good at less than 4 inches with small subjects.  The autofocus is fine for normal photography and I have noticed no trouble.  Sharpness is great and Bokeh is pleasing at smaller apertures.  Backgrounds are creamy, just the way I like them.  This will be a great portrait lens.

Distortion is minimal on my test charts when shooting with auto distortion correction off.  Contrast is great and I now consider this lens among my best.

Weaknesses:

A little noisy on autofocus.

Comments:

I will add photos soon.  Great lens!
