The Sigma 17-70 mm f/ 2.8-4.5 DC Macro is a standard zoom lens for digital SLR AF camera systems with the APS-C sensor format.
The DC series is a line of Sigma lenses optimized for digital SLR APS-C cameras.
It was announced January 18, 2006 and has been manufactured since 2007. Later in July, 2007 another version of the lens was announced first for Nikon, featuring HSM motor. December 4, 2009 a new version was announced, featuring an optical stabilization and employing a different optical formula.
