Olympus OM Zuiko 35-70 mm f/ 3.6 Auto zoom Lens

The Olympus OM-System Zuiko MC Auto-Zoom 35-70mm f/3.6 is a standard zoom lens with a fixed max. aperture for 35 mm Olympus OM SLR cameras.. It is the first zoom lens version with a standard range of focal lengths. The later versions, S-Zuiko 35-70mm f/4 and  f/3.5-4.5, have a simplified optical formula to reduce the price (in all there are 5 different 35-70 versions).

The lens features a very reliable mechanical build, excellent optical performance, and reverse zooming - maximum retraction at the short end. The lens is quite sharp when wide open - the fastest 35-70 lens. Despite its rather heavy weight, the lens is rather compact. Focusing and zooming are not fully coordinated: when changing a focal length from 70 to 35 mm, sharpness remains unchanged (reverse action requires adjustment). The lens is multi-coated since its commercial launch.
