Additional information:
The Olympus OM System Zuiko 1:1 Macro 1:4 f=80mm is the world's first 1x macro lens designed for mm Olympus OM SLR cameras.
The lens has a preset manual aperture, so exposure has to be measured with the lens stopped down.
There are three versions of the lens
-
F.ZUIKO MACRO 1:4 f=80mm (single coated, silver front part)
-
ZUIKO 1:1 MACRO 1:4 f=80mm (presumably, single coated) (serial numbers: 200xxx, 201xxx)
-
ZUIKO MC 1:1 MACRO 1:4 f=80mm (multicoated) (203xxx, 204xxx, 205xxx)
The Zuiko 80/4 Macro lens is used for shooting in the range of ×0.5 – ×2 (field of view - from 12x18mm to 48x72mm) with the Auto Bellows or the Telescopic Auto Tube 65–116.
In 1980 the lens was replaced by a more convenient for shooting Zuiko 80/4 Macro Auto lens, which has an automatic diaphragm and a helicoid for fine focusing. The optical scheme hadn't changed.
