The Leica Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4 is an ultra fast standard lens for Leica R SLR cameras.

It was available in two optically different variants:

7 elements in 6 groups (E55), manufactured from December 1970 to 1995 in four finishes. E55 or S7 filters; 6-blade aperture.
8 elements in 7 groups (E60), produced from 1997 to 2009. E60 filters; 8-blade aperture.

The photos and price are given for the 1st version of the lens; the lens' specifications, brochure and MTF charts - for the 2nd version.

The 2nd version is three times as expensive at foreign auctions.
