The Sigma 24 mm F1.8 EX DG ASP Macrois a full format fast wide-angle lens designed for digital and film SLR cameras, but it can also be used on digital APS-C cameras with an equivalent focal length of 38 mm. The optical scheme includes two aspherical elements for minimizing distortion, spherical aberration and astigmatism. The floating system of internal focusing decreases distortion throughout the entire focusing range and enables shooting at the minimum working distance of 18 cm. The double focusing system makes it possible to manually adjust autofocus, and the focusing ring does not rotate during autofocus operations. The front element does not rotate while focusing and enables the use of a petal hood and a polarized filter.
