Nikon has recently released the AF-S NIKKOR 85mm F1.4 G for FX cameras. The lens has succeeded its legendary portrait predecessor - the 85/1.4D lens.

The new version is equipped with a built-in AF motor, which makes it possible to use the lens on Nikon cameras not equipped with a screw drive motor.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85 mm f/ 1.4 G lens features a medium (portrait) telefocus range and shows magnificent background blurring at f/1.4 thanks to a 9-blade aperture.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85 mm f/ 1.4 G has near-silent focusing. It can be easily switched from automatic to manual (M) focusing modes. There may be one problem - setting depth of field at f/1.4. :)
