Additional information:

The Spiratone 135mm f/2.8 Tc is a portrait prime lens for 35 mm SLR cameras (via the interchangeable T / T2 mount).

This is a rather rare Japan portrait lens manufactured for the US market. Its 16-blade iris diaphragm always provides a circular aperture and a beautiful bokeh. The lens' optical elements are covered with a special Tc coating. Later versions came in non-zebra design. There is an M42 version without the Tc coating.

Period of use: 5 days

Strengths:

Excellent build, beautiful design and finish

Well balanced andnot too heavy (seems to be made of aluminum)

Buttery focusing with a perfect throw

Distinct sharp clicks of the preset aperture ring, excellent tactile feedback

Weaknesses:

Partially polished focusing ring does not provide secure grip

Comments:

My copy came with the passport in the original carboard box in mechanically perfect condition but infested with fungus. Needs to be cleaned before I can comment on opical performance.

T-mount had KE bayonet (Exacta) adapter
