The MC Zenitar-1 1.4/85 (Russian: MC Зенитар-1) is a compact portrait prime lens for 35 mm digital and film SLR full frame cameras. The lens features high resolution, automatic instant-return diaphragm and multi-layer coating. The lens also came under the name of Helionar-1with the К bayonet mount.
The multicoating increases light transmittance and decreases light scattering to ensure contrast and sharp images and considerably minimize flare and ghosting. The lens produces high quality images with even brightness, sharpness and definition, as well as high contrast and accurate color rendering.
Compact size, light weight, durable body and bayonet coupling with cameras make the lens handy for both amateur and professional photography. Fast lens speed makes it possible to shoot in low light conditions and take sharp pictures. The lens is suitable for portrait photography where shallow depth of field is required, as well as for shooting moving subjects at fast shutter speed. Operating temperature from -15° to +45°С.
The lens comes complete with two caps (front and rear), carrying case and user's manual.
