The Sigma APO 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM is a fast telephoto zoom lens with a constant maximumaperture for DSLR APS-C/DX format cameras of different AF systems. The lens was announced on August 11, 2006.
The optical scheme of the lens consists of 18 elements in 14 groups, including four SLD elements to compensate for chromatic aberrations. The hyper sonic motor ensures quiet and high speed autofocus while allowing full-time manual focus override.
The Sigma APO 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM is compatible with Sigma 1.4x EX DG APO or 2.0x EX DG APO teleconverters. When coupled with the teleconverters, a range of focal lengths of 70-210/4.0 or 100-300/5.6 respectively can be achieved.
