The optical scheme of the lens comprises nine elements in seven groups, including elements with Nano Crystal Coat for minimizing flare and ghosting. This is the first lens with Nano Crystal Coat in the 1 Nikkor line-up

This is the first lens with SWM motor in the 1 Nikkor line-upThe motor minimizes noise when shooting video. Manual-priority (M/A) autofocus allows for precise and deliberate focusing. The Close Range Correction (CRC) System provides high image quality with minimum distortion.
