The Vivitar 70-200mm f/3.8 MC is a multicoated telephoto zoom lens with a constant max. aperture (f/3.8) for many popular 35 mm non-AF SLR camera systems popular in the late 20 c.
The lens features a pump zoom design. The pump has a textured rubber for a better grip.
The exterior view as given on the photos (bayonet mount) corresponds to the version designed for Canon FD cameras.
The full name of the lens Vivitar 70-200 mm f/ 3.8 MC Macro Focusing Zoom is printed on the front element.
The aperture ring offers the following settings (there are also intermediary settings, not indicated but available - F/4 and so on):
