Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28-300 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 G ED VR. Nikon took  popularity of the DX 5.6–200 mm into consideration and decided to release a 18 new product  -maximum versatile FX format lens with a broad zoom range from 200 to 2010 mm.

Zurab Kiknadze, Product Manager Lenses, Accessories and Software, Nikon Europe says: “We are really excited about this new, all-round lens in the NIKKOR range. The DX format 18-200mm proved to be a massive success, and we are happy to introduce FX format customers to the same advantages this lens can offer.”

As for the lens characteristics: rather versatile lens, covering a wide range of focal lengths. The lens has obtained the recognition of travelers, as it enables them to use fewer lenses - it is not necessary to carry excess  kilos of photo devices, which is often important in voyages.

The Nikon 28-300 mm f 3.5-5.6 AF-S ED VR is equipped with the system of  Vibration Reduction,  providing the equivalent of shooting at shutter speeds up to four stops faster Normal mode compensates for vibration in all directions. Active mode compensates for only vertical vibration (which is useful when shooting moving subjects). 

It is fit for portrait photography. Fast lens speed. 

Material and form of optical elements minimize the possibility of chromatic aberrations.

The Nikon 28-300 mm f 3.5-5.6 AF-S ED VR pros:

·         Rather fast autofocusing;

·         Manual focusing is conveniently switched on by rotating the focus ring;

·         Excellent zoom after focusing;

·         Nice bokeh, especially at 300 mm;

·         Compact size for an optic device with such characteristics;

·         Flexibility in use;

·         Perfect for macrography;

·         Rounded aperture - beautiful beams from shining subjects are difficult to get, but it makes subject in out-of-focus areas look more natural.

·         It does not perform well in low light conditions, at half-lights.
