Additional information:
The Zenitar-M 50 mm f/ 1.7 (Russian: "Зенитар") is a normal lens with multicoating for 35 mm SLR cameras with the M42 screw mount.
The export version was labeled the Zenitar-M 50/1.7
It was designed by L. S. Yurchenko and produced at the KMZ in the 1970s and '80s.
The Zenitar-М 50 mm f/ 1.7 forms a very nice image with rather high contrast from f/1.7 onwards. It produces beautiful and soft optical blurring of the front and back out-of-focus areas (the so-called bokeh).
There is a very similar version of the lens - the Zenitar-МЕ1 50 1.7 with only two aperture blades.
Angle of view: 46
The resolution according to the technical specifications (center/edge): 43/24 lpmm
The Zenitar-М 50 mm f/ 1.7 can be easily mounted by means of adapters on modern SRL and mirrorless cameras and is fit for portrait shooting, genre portrait shooting and genre photography as well as for any type of artistic photography where shallow depth of field and beautiful bokeh are important.
