Additional information:

Lensbaby Optics don't function separately, you need use lens "holder" (Control Freak, Composer, Muse, Scout) and put this optic element into the "holder".

Multi-coated optical glass doublet with Sweet Spot.

Aperture system is full manualy (you choose aperture magnetic disc with hole and put it into the lenss) - pic 2.

Apertures discs: f/2.8, f/4, f/5.6, f/8, f/11, f/16, f/22  (f/2 is without disc in lens)

Lensbaby is full manualy, crazy and very creative system - you can change focal length with shift/tilt efect. 



SCOUT - easy fixed holder (without shift/tilt efect or focal length change function)

COMPOSER - holder with manual shift/tilt efect

MUSE - holder with manual shift/tilt efect and focal length change function

CONTROL FREAK - holder with manual shift/tilt efect and focal length change function and lock mechanism

- All these "holders" are compatible with "Optic Swap System" (you can change optics inside)

Creativity, tilt function and the lensbaby blur effect.

Nice f/2 aperture.


Very difficult to use, difficult to focus manually, you need to experiment a lot.

Weird aperture system using small disks.

Missing lens hood, you need to buy it appart.


This lens is made as a toy, it isn't sharp anyway. The aperture system is crap.

Focusing using Lensbabay composer is unaccurate, and there is no focus confirmation available, in my case using a high precise focusing screen helped a lot on mi 5D, but using the standard focus screen is dissapointing.

Regarding the tilt efect, as the lens isn't sharp you will not see the tilt effect as most of the frame will by blurred out. The tilt effect lets you move the sharp focus area all around the frame.

Anyway, the lensbaby effect is very cool, so the fun is to play waltking around and see what happens...
