The PentaxSMC DA 40 mm f/ 2.8 Limited is a legendary Limited series lens for film and digital cameras with the Pentax K bayonet mount (it is limitedly compatible with film cameras, as DA lenses does not support mechanical control of a diaphragm).

The equivalent focal length on APS-C cameras is 61 mm.

As well as the other Limited series lenses, this one features very compact dimensions and, at the same time, excellent optical performance. Sharpness, contrast and color  rendering - everything is at a very high level.

The lens features very good and reliable mechanical design. The lens barrel and bayonet are metal.

The Pentax SMC DA 40 mm f/ 2.8 Limited  lens is equipped with the PENTAX Quick Shift Focus System which allows instant switching between AF and MF modes.
