Additional information:

Canon FD 80-200mm f/4 SSC is telephoto zoom lens for 35mm SLR cameras Canon FD.

Using a double ring control system for those who find the single ring zoom system too 'imprecise' for focusing and zooming as traditional technique of focusing the lens at the telephoto end before zooming may result in slight focus shifts. Operation using the 80-200 mm lens may not be as fast as single ring zooms, but it is extremely reliable. It has an optical composition of 15 elements in 11 groups and features four group design of focus element, variation, compensator lens and relay lens. The employment of a new type of glass in the variator and the relay lens effectively controls curvature of field, coma and other aberrations.A telephoto zoom which covers the frequently used range of 80mm, 100mm, 135mm and 200mm, this is a high performance lens with a maximum aperture of f/4 and a zoom a ratio of 2.5.With a total length of 161mm and a weight of 790 grams, this lens is still considered moderately lightweight and compact for its class. Strangely, this lens uses double ring control system provides separate rings for focusing and zooming as opposed to 'popular design of one touch design.
