Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 SL II S is a fast standard prime lens with a proprietary multi-coating for 35-мм SLR cameras.
Released in October 2016, the Nokton 58mm f1.4 SLII S for Nikon Ai-s (F) Camera Mount is a newer model of the Nokton 58mm f1.4 SLII N lens.
The new Nokton 58mm lens made by Cosina is basically designed to the same optical specifications of the former 58mm though, it features an Ai meter coupling lever - a.k.a. rabbit ear for old school Nikon users - that has a tiny opening (hole) on each, which makes it possible to use it with the vintage Nikon F cameras. Just like the conventional 58mm, the newer model also has the built-in CPU that allows you to control the aperture on the camera's dial.
The newer model comes in two different colors of the front lens rim: Silver or Black.
The lens offers handsome retro design with easy-to-grip silver metal knurling on the manual focus ring, which contributes to more efficient handling.
