The Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM is super wide-angle zoom lens for Canon EOS cameras with the EF-S mount (APS-C format). It is the widest angle lens made by Canon for crop factor cameras. Equivalent focal length for 35 mm film is 16-35 mm.
This is a rather sharp lens for landscape and architecture photography. It is lightweight and virtually silent. It features very accurate and fast focusing, a satisfactory level of distortion and aberrations, though a drop in resolution on the edges is quite evident. It is resistant to back light.
A special multilayer coating prevents flare, halation and other ghosting on photographs.
The front element of the lens is nonrotating, which enables a convenient use and change of caps and filters.
In order to correct autofocusing results, it is possible to switch from AF mode to FTM mode at any moment. It is equipped with a ring-type ultra-sonic motor.
A circular aperture is used to enhance bokeh.
The lens delivers a beautiful color and good contrast over the whole image plane.
The Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM is perfectly fit for genre, landscape, interior and architecture photography.
