Strengths:
I just got this lens off of a IC-1 Topcon camera. This might have a UV Topcor mount, but it is of a much better optical quality than a UV Topcor lens. I tested this lens with the following infrared filters: 590nm, 720nm, and 850nm. It performed extremely well and was as sharp as just about any other 50mm lens I own.
Weaknesses:
The mount. I use this lens on a Nikon Z6 Z-mount camera and I had to make my own aperture control mounting adapter from an old Topcor UV camera. It works just fine, but the aperture steps are very close together on the UV adapter.
Comments:
Great for IR photography.
