The Samyang85 mm f/1.4 Aspherical IF  is a portrait full frame fast prime lens with manual focusing. It is remarkable for its high resolution and low price.

It is based on the Vivitar Series 1 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical IF lens.

Vignetting at maximum apertures reaches 1.8EV. Chromatic aberration is slight Resolution at the edges of the frame drops at f/1.4-2.8, but nevertheless remains at a high level.

The new version of the Samyang AE85 mm f/1.4 AS IF UMCis designed for the Nikon F bayonet mount only and has contacts to transmit exposure settings data to an EXIF file. Its optical scheme has not been changed.
