Additional information:
The Canon EF 70-200 mm f/ 2.8 L USM is a professional telephoto zoom lens for Canon EOS film and digital cameras.
When used on APS-C cameras (crop factor), the equivalent focal length is 112- 320 mm.
With a 2.8 lens speed the lens can be used in poor lighting conditions without a tripod or a flash.
It delivers a very good sharpness at f/2.8. And from f/ 4 onward it is very sharp. It is noticeably sharper in comparison with IS variants, because its optical scheme contains fewer elements.
The ring-type USM makes focusing fast and virtually silent.
The built-in FTM mode excludes the possibility of breakdown during autofocusing.
The Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L USM utilizes four UD glass elements with a low refraction coefficient and low dispersion to correct chromatic aberrations.
It is possible to use the EF 1.4xII extender throughout the range of focal lengths of 98-280 mm at f/4 or the EF 2xII extender throughout the range of focal lengths of 140-400 mm at f/5.6.
Compatible hood: ET-83II
The lens comes completed with a hood and a case. Links to online resources: PDF Files: Posted by: Sergei Borodin Date of publication: 12.08.2010
