Additional information:

The 7artisans "UFO" is a prime in the body cap style of lenses and covers APS-C sized sensors (or smaller). It features 6 elements in 4 groups, built into the most compact design you can imagine. The 18mm focal length (27mm effective on APS-C) is combined with a fixed apeture of f/6.3, In addition to the lack of aperature adjustment, there is no focus adjustment either: the lens relies on the hyperfocal qualities of the design for a usable image from minimum to infinity.

This wide angle prime is best suited to high ISO capable digital cameras if you want to use it in low light, but it still has a wide range of applications from portraiture to landscapes, street scenes, still lifes, etc. Color rendering is retro. If sharpness across the frame is your goal, this lens may disappoint. However, if you want a modern lens with a character of its own you should take a look at this "novelty" lens.

By ommiting apeture and focus considerations you can slim down the manual proccess involved from shot to shot and also when shifting between modes on your dial.
